User registration and access control
A user registration and access control system should be implemented for certain areas of the existing website. The solution consisted of a web-based application (Perl) for registration with confirmation by e-mail, as well as the automatic generation of Apache Access Files (".htaccess"). The data is stored in an XML file (no database to reduce the requirements on the productive server).
